Make a picture of your saying on a lot of different items.
Hey,
I found a great site that will let you put your saying in either a church sign, on a cassette tape, on an official seal, or even on a concert ticket. You only get the picture of your creation. The site is at:

Get help if you lose something to a thief.
Hey gang,
Sorry I haven't posted in a long while. Nobody has sent me anything to post. However, I did find this was interesting:
Mission Viejo-based PropertyRoom contracts with more than 700 law enforcement agencies to collect, package and sell unreturned, found and seized goods, such as diamond rings, stereos, cars and even land.
After collecting unclaimed property from police, PropertyRoom.com workers scan in each item in one of four warehouses. Software alerts workers when an item's serial number or other feature matches something registered on StealItBack.com.
If local law enforcement officials verify the match, StealItBack.com will send it back free of charge.
So the lesson here is to register your stuff with www.StealItBack.com.

How to Hack a $10 Digital Disposible Camera for reuse.
Ok, here is one worthy of posting. TenDollarDigitalCamera instructions are here. Turn a "disposable" 10 dollar digital camera from RitzCamera, CVS, or Walgreens into one you can use over and over, just like a normal digital camera.

Microsoft Support for Windows 98 and ME to End in July!!!
Well, there they go! The operating systems are "outdated" and pose security risks to the people that use them. Who are we to ask for software that works? Now we are being forced to upgrade. You can read a news article about this at http://www.computerworld.com/softwaretopics/os/story/0,10801,110502,00.html?source=NLT_AM&nid=110502

Far away, Far Out Fast Food
This is beyond belief to me. Some of the fast food resturants are now using a call center to take your orders. People in the drive thru in Honolulu placing their order are talking to someone in California. In the 10 seconds that it takes for the next car to pull up and order, the call center operator can take an order for someone in Florida. I would love to see what would happen if the calls got mixed up. The full article is at The New York Times web site.

The Geek Quiz
The geek quiz at http://www.thudfactor.com/geekquiz.php
My results are:
You are 27% geek
You are a geek liaison, which means you go both ways. You can hang out with normal people or you can hang out with geeks which means you often have geeks as friends and/or have a job where you have to mediate between geeks and normal people. This is an important role and one of which you should be proud. In fact, you can make a good deal of money as a translator.
Normal: Tell our geek we need him to work this weekend.
You [to Geek]: We need more than that, Scotty. You'll have to stay until you can squeeze more outta them engines!
Geek [to You]: I'm givin' her all she's got, Captain, but we need more dilithium crystals!
You [to Normal]: He wants to know if he gets overtime.

The Purpose of Hot Stuff From My People blog
Hey gang,
I started this Hot Stuff From My People blog as a joke but now I am going to use it. The whole idea was to find favorite web sites and news articles that were of interest to most people. I was hoping that people would participate but with my experience with my other blog, I don't have much hope. Since the format of my Free and Cheap Stuff blog is goofed up, I will experiment with this one first. Anyway, I hope you like the things that I post. If you find a site or news article you like, please let me know in one of the comment links and I will post it.
